Bill Cates

Frisco Distinguished Veteran Award 2017

By Wendi McGowan-Ellis

Having lived in Frisco for 87 years, Bill Cates is our city’s first recipient of Mayor Cheney’s Distinguished Veteran of the Year Award.

He has lived here all his life, outside of his Army service, and remembers when Frisco’s population was 736.

A true gentleman and a gem, Mr. Cates will pass the baton on Tuesday, November 6th, at the City Council meeting to the next honoree.
