Lee Myrben

Frisco Distinguished Veteran Award 2021

Lee Myrben honorably served in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Technician from 1955 to 1977. During that time, he served six tours aboard the US Naval Aircraft carriers, USS Wasp (1), USS Midway (3) and the USS Ranger (2), Of the six tours aboard those carriers, three were directly supporting US Combat Forces during the Vietnam War.

After his honorable service in the military, Lee worked in the civilian sector directing and supporting programs and projects for the US Government, military contractors, and civilian corporations for 27 years. He was involved in a wide variety of programs to include the design stage of the Blackhawk Helicopter andF18 Super Hornet. Lee was also instrumental on programs associated with engineering, logistics and training of new and improved equipment.

Mr. Myrben, as a civilian employee, became a member of the National Corrosion Control Engineers, the National Logistics Engineers and the San Diego Engineering Society. With the SDES, he served as President which was the umbrella for 22 engineering societies within the San Diego area. Lee retired in 2003 as Director of National Security Solutions and as the Director of the Coast Guard Program and moved to Frisco, Texas in 2004.
