Lieutenant Colonel Richard “Dick” Peasley honorably served in the United States Marine Corps as an Aviation Officer from 1967 to 1987. During his 20 years of active service, he served in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot, served at the Naval Test Pilot School, and served as the Commanding Officer for (HMX-1) “Marine One” Helicopter Squadron and Presidential Helicopter Pilot for President Ronald Reagan.
After retiring from military service, Mr. Peasley worked for Bell Helicopter in Fort Worth, from 1987 to 2006, as a support contractor, serving as Experimental Test Pilot and V-22 Tilt-Rotor Aircraft Program Manager for the Naval Air Systems Command; and since 2006, Dick Peasley has served the Frisco community as a leader, volunteer, and champion for our local heroes.
He served on Frisco Lakes Homeowners Association Programs Committee and is a founding member of their Veterans Club. He spearheaded both the annual Frisco Veterans Charity Golf Tournament and First Responders Charity Golf Tournament, and with the generous support of the community, raised over $180,000 over the last 8 years for North Texas veterans charities and for scholarships for first responders’ children.
